Birdenbire, gözleri parlak bir ışıkla doldu ve bir anda kendisini tanımadığı bir yerde buldu. Etrafındaki manzara, onun tanıdığı İstanbul'dan çok farklıydı. Ahmet, çevresine bakındı ve gördüğü şeyler karşısında şaşkına döndü. Burası, tarihi bir kale gibi görünen eski bir şehirdi.

Ahmet, ne olduğunu anlamaya çalışırken, birdenbire önünde beliren bir adamla karşılaştı. Adam, ona gizemli bir şekilde gülümsedi ve konuşmaya başladı. Ancak konuştuğu dil, Ahmet'in hiçbir şekilde tanıyamadığı bir dildi.

Ahmet, adama İngilizce sordu: "Neredeyim? Burası İstanbul değil mi?"

Adam gülümsedi ve şöyle dedi: "Evet, bu İstanbul. Ancak bu, zamanın derinliklerine yolculuk yaptığın eski bir İstanbul."

Ahmet şaşkınlık içindeydi. Adam, ona bu gizemli yerin sırlarını anlatmaya başladı. Burası, zamanın içinde kaybolmuş bir şehirdi ve burada yaşayan insanlar, geçmişten gelip burada bir yaşam sürüyorlardı.
